HR Generalist - Brooklyn Park, MN

Position Summary

The HR Generalist is a multifaceted and goal-orientated professional with a variety of experience across the human resources function. This individual is highly organized and detailed. Adept at providing administrative direction and operational strategies critical to organizational success. This person will have the proven ability to thrive in a busy environment with positive results. Well-developed interpersonal skills coupled with outstanding verbal and written communication skills, able to establish and maintain productive relationships across all organizational levels.



  • Design and implement effective recruiting strategies for the support office and communities.  
  • Assist in the recruitment process at job fairs and other events, including community outreach.
  • Maintain positive relationships with colleges, staffing agencies and other external partners.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance in all areas of human resources.
  • Work collaboratively to design effective onboarding strategies and tools, and help plan training and development.
  • Assist in HR training programs that are effective, engaging and in compliance with state and federal rules and regulations. 
  • Prepare reports out of HRIS (ADP).
  • Provide support to employees and managers in various HR topics – employee inquiries, employee relations, performance management, benefits, etc.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies.
  • Maintain employee files and records in both electronic and paper formats.
  • Responsible for audit of nursing license and health cards.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze technical issues related to HR processes and systems
  • Create and maintain scheduled employee data reports.
  • Assist with the creation, distribution and collection of feedback from company-wide annual employee engagement survey.
  • Serve as back-up for payroll processing, if current processor is unavailable and adequate training is provided.
  • Assist with payroll process as needed to ensure efficient and accurate processing.

Education and Experience

Minimum two-year degree with at least 2 years experience in Human Resources. Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred.


  • Ability to occasionally lift files up to 20 pounds
  • Requires up to 10% travel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey messages
  • Demonstrate high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Knowledgeable of local, state, and federal employment law and regulations governing human Resource programs
  • Highly organized with the ability to work independently, prioritize work and meet deadlines
