Joshua Von Holdt - Fieldcrest

The new Executive Director of Vista Prairie at Fieldcrest, Joshua von Holdt has an extensive background in nursing, social work, and health services. The common thread throughout his career is Josh’s passion for helping and serving members of his community. The amount of love and care he invests into his work shines through every day at Fieldcrest.
Originally from Worthington, Minnesota, Joshua began his career working as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) at a nursing home in the neighboring town of Fulda, Minnesota. He soon went on to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of South Dakota.
Post-graduation, Joshua worked as a case coordinator for an in-patient mental health treatment facility for people with a dual diagnosis. In that role, he was responsible for managing the treatment of two individuals.
After a couple years, Josh was promoted to Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Service (ARMHS) worker in outpatient care for a local mental health clinic that was working under the same company. As an ARMHS worker, he continued to manage client care for outpatient cases.
Before long, Joshua was able to start advocating for community members from a position of greater influence when he accepted an Associate Director position with Seasons Center for Behavioral Health. From there, he was offered a position in case management for the State of Iowa. He continued managing care of the state for several years until he accepted his new role with Vista Prairie Communities as the Executive Director at Fieldcrest.
Josh’s commitment to serving his community also extends into his free time. He currently serves as a volunteer firefighter for the Sibley Fire Department, and during his time at the University of South Dakota he supported Cure Kids Cancer by participating in a dance marathon as a Moral Captain.
Joshua lives in Sibley, Iowa with his wife, two-year-old daughter, dogs, and cats. He spends his spare time building furniture and tackling projects on the ‘Honey-Do’ list.
