Chad Johnson - Manor House
May 27, 2015
Chad started as the Executive Director at Manor House in the spring of 2015. Having earned a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology in 2013, he enjoys working with people and has a great desire to make a difference in their lives. He has managed both an Independent Living home for teenaged boys and a Corporate Adult Foster Care home and also has over 10 years of experience serving as a pastor. This has given him much experience in working with a variety of individuals.
As an Executive Director, Chad’s days are rarely the same. He has learned to be flexible and adaptable with any new challenges the day may bring. From being part of a great team and finding ways to improve the quality of care and services that Vista Prairie at Manor House provides to sitting and talking with the residents and hearing how their days are going, Chad says that his days are very demanding and, at the same time, very rewarding.
One of Chad’s favorite parts of his job is being part of such a great team and helping that team come together to accomplish its goals. He says, “Whether individually or together, we are capable of more than we imagine.”
On his time off, Chad enjoys running, staying fit, golfing, fishing, boating and spending time with his family. He grew up in the Chicago area and had the privilege of playing college basketball in France, Germany, Hong Kong and China.
Chad is greatly devoted to building up the community he lives in and to make a difference in the lives of those around him. He has a great passion to help the tenants of Vista Prairie at Manor House and because, as he says, “The senior years can be challenging and, for many, not what was expected. I enjoy being part of a team that can improve and enrich the quality of life of our seniors.”
