Stacy Wihlm - Monarch Meadows
October 3, 2011
Stacy joined the Vista Prairie family in October of 2011 as Executive director of Monarch Meadows in North Mankato Minnesota. Her days as ED are busy ones, she oftens jokes with her residents that she is a “Jack of all trades”. You might find Stacy helping out all over Monarch Meadows when needed, whether its driving the bus, serving dinner or fixing toilets! Her typical day however, is spent in her office working on marketing, billing, addressing resident concerns or performing one of many numerous tasks of an Executive Director.
When Stacy is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family. Her husband, who was her highschool sweetheart, and their four boys like to spend time traveling and camping. Her favorite destination is Disney World. Stacy also values some alone time sitting and reading on her front porch.
In 2011, Stacy received the Distinguished Service Award from Care Providers of Minnesota. For the last 14 years, Stacy has been a member of the Madelia Rescue Squad. She currently serves as captain, but she has also served as Secretary and Treasurer over the years. To Stacy, this volunteer position is all about helping others and she find it personally gratifying.
Stacy likes knowing that Vista Prairie takes pride in their communities. She is proud of Monarch Meadows and the wonderful services they provide. She is also very appreciative of the “fantastic, dedicated staff members” at Monarch Meadows.“I love to bring joy to the residents and families that I serve. A simple task for me can be a complex task for a resident; I love to be able to do that simple task for them to ease their life. I also love to bring smiles to their faces by personally greeting them each day and taking time to visit with them. My job is very rewarding and I love it!”
