Age is only a number, and nobody knows that better than Vista Prairie at Copperleaf Senior Living Community resident Anita Doty, who celebrated her 100th birthday in April. But Anita’s never been one to act her age. Friends she’s made in her time at Copperleaf describe Anita as a woman on the go, eagerly taking part in the daily activities and excursions available to Copperleaf residents.

August is National Picnic Month and Vista Prairie Communities is celebrating all month long with their residents, friends and families. Vista Prairie at Copperleaf in Willmar, MN is hosting a western barbecue on Thursday, August 7 and Vista Prairie at Garnette Gardens in Redwood Falls, MN is celebrating with a luau inspired gathering. These are just a few ways Vista Prairie and its communities are getting in the picnic spirit, but some residents are enjoying traditional picnics complete with a basket and blanket.
