New Executive Director of Copperleaf Community

Jennifer Marcus has been named the new Executive Director of our Copperleaf Senior Living Community, 1550 1^st Street North in Willmar, MN. In her new role, she will be responsible for all operations, contact with residents, staff and the community.

A Willmar native, for the past four years Jennie served as Executive Director of Brookdale Senior Living, located in Willmar. Her passion for seniors was influenced by her mother who worked at Bethesda in Willmar. While in high school, Jennie began working for Bethesda in the activities department.  Jennie then attended college in Mankato and began her career with REM-The Mentor Network beginning with a position working direct care. Jennie discovered a true passion for working with people and would continue her career with REM-The Mentor Network for the following 15 years earning promotions and ultimately leading a team of more than 250 staff members, with responsibility for 170 consumers.

Growing up and planting family roots in Willmar made her an even stronger candidate.”

Jennifer obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in speech communication, technical writing and marketing from Minnesota State University in Mankato. Her continuing education includes a certificate from the Institute on Community Integration from the University of Minnesota and a Senior Living Certification as a Certified Assisted Living Executive Director.
